The Story of Kahana Bengal

The Kahana Bengal adventure began in 2014, when I decided to turn my passion for the Bengal breed into a true breeding project by completing my breeder training.

In 2016, Kahana came into my life. Exceptionally beautiful, she quickly took a unique place in my heart and naturally gave her name to the cattery.

Kahana was paired with Irish Sumstorm, a male who played an important role in the history of my breeding program. From this union was born Okoumé Moku, who would later become an important part of the continuity of the lineage.

A few years later, Okoumé Moku gave birth to Tama Moku and Ukoumé Moku. I chose to keep Tama Moku as a breeding female in order to continue this family line that means so much to me. Her sister Ukoumé Moku was neutered and stayed at the cattery, where she remains part of our family.

At the same time, I welcomed Taboo, Kahana’s sister. With her, I continued working toward a goal that had been very important to me from the beginning: producing brown charcoal Bengals.

I then paired Taboo with Irish Sumstorm. From this union were born Paparov, Paccino and Padmé, my very first brown charcoal Bengals. These births marked an important step in my breeding work and the fulfilment of a dream I had pursued for a long time.

Among them, Paparov quickly became my heart cat. Born at the cattery, he is now the emblem of Kahana Bengal and represents an important part of its story.

I also chose to keep Padmé as a breeding female in order to continue this exceptional line. Thanks to her, several generations continue today to carry on the history of the cattery.

For more than ten years, each pairing has been carefully considered in order to preserve the health, temperament and beauty that define the Bengal. Behind every cat at the cattery, there is a family story made of passion, heritage and love for this fascinating breed.
